Recently I’ve been trying to read completed manhwa/manga/manhuas, because I’m not very patient when it comes to waiting for something to update. This manhwa really belongs in the smut/nsfw area (so read it in public at your own “risk” ><)
General thoughts – This manhwa was a little mid, but the art and handsome/pretty characters really pushed me past the story. Thankfully the manhwa is shorter than most, and while I was glad it ended faster than usual, there were a lot of plot holes that could’ve been flushed out more.

Story – The story really revolves around two characters – the MC and the ML. The MC is a concubine’s (?) daughter who was known as the goddess who sang songs that granted wishes. She was also heavily abused by her own family and had to eat hallucination plants in order to survive from hunger. The ML is the crown prince’s brother. Although being born in the same womb as his brother, he is regarded as a “goblin” for reasons that will explained in the plot. The ML falls in love with the MC at first glance, and the MC loves the ML because he’s the only one who treats her with respect. Like I get it, good for you. But the MC is just..so naive and really has no mind of her own. It also feels like both characters don’t undergo much character development since when we first see them, which makes me frustrated.

**TBH I feel like most likely, you’ll read this manhwa for the smut/ s*x scenes rather than for the actual story.**

Characters – Other than the MC and the ML, we really don’t get to see much into other people’s lives. The crown prince and his mother… Imma smh fr. I think that sometimes blood should not determine one’s connection to one another. This story really proves that point.

The MC is a little slow and clumsy, she is very lovable indeed. I just can’t believe how she survived throughout the years 😥

The ML is…okay. I think his reasoning for falling in love with her was a little delusional. “Love at first glance” is very stereotypical and while it does make sense for him to fall in love with her, since he’s usually the shadow, it was a little too fast for my liking

Art – I’m living for the historical art *mwah mwah* I like how the artist really went into the details of the clothing. I’m sure that took a while. The ML also be looking fine in every angle so very happy about that (heh)

Overall, other than the historical fantasy setup and art, everything else was a little disappointing. I think there was a lot more potential this story could’ve dwelved into. But! BUT! the smut was fun and I enjoyed that the author and artist played up that factor, so it’s not a huge loss.
